Managing Director

An entrepreneur and business owner, Courtney also brings more than 18 years as a fundraising, communications and program management professional to her role as Managing Director of The Liaison Group.

Having begun her career in the newsroom at Nightline with Ted Koppel, Courtney went on to serve as Director of Special Projects for the RFK Center for Justice and Human Rights (now Robert F. Kennedy Human Rights) and in leadership roles for organizations both national and international in scope, including Food & Friends, the Marine Corps Scholarship Foundation and Refugees International.

Courtney’s entrepreneurial ventures include Schroeder Kennedy Consulting, a nonprofit fundraising and program management firm established in 2012 and The Cheeky Puppy, a pet-centric retail venture created in 2014, both of which have provided firsthand experience managing the opportunities – as well as the many challenges – faced by the cannabis industry entrepreneurs in which The Liaison Group specializes.

A native Midwesterner, Courtney has a BA in History from the University of Michigan and lives in Washington, D.C. with her family.
